Pricing
Type it in, it's free. We read it, you pay.
One price: £2 a battery a month, while we're reading it. Registering is free, looking it up is free, and a battery that goes quiet or retires stops costing you. No tiers, no seats, no contract.
Prices exclude VAT. Billed monthly, in arrears, by invoice.
A battery is in one of four modes. You pay in one of them.
The mode is the billing boundary. It changes on its own as the battery reports or stops reporting, and you can see which mode every battery is in from the console.

Registered
FreeYou typed it in. It has a passport, a QR and a public page. Nothing is connected yet.
Becomes Monitored when its first reading arrives.
- 02 · the one you pay for
Monitored
£2 / monthWe're reading it. Live readings, alerts, raw frames kept as evidence, and over time an independent state of health.
Becomes Quiet when it stops reporting.
- 03
Quiet
FreeIt stopped sending. Its history stays, its passport stays live, and billing stops at the end of that month.
Back to Monitored the moment it reports again.
- 04
Retired
FreeYou've marked it done — sold, repurposed or recycled. The record is kept for whoever has it next.
Permanent. The passport outlives your account.

What a month looks like
An installer with forty batteries on the books. Thirty-two are connected and reporting; eight are registered only, waiting on site work.
With one monitored battery the bill is £20, not £2 — the minimum covers your tenancy, subdomain and data retention. From ten batteries up, you're paying only the per-battery rate.
What you never pay for
- Registering a battery, however many
- Anyone looking up a passport from its label
- A battery that has gone quiet
- A battery you've retired
- The next owner reading the history
- Exporting everything and leaving
- Adding people to your account
- A new decoder when we add one
Questions people ask before they pay
When does a battery start being Monitored?
When its first reading reaches us. Not when you register it, not when you create a gateway — when data arrives. Until then it's Registered and free.
When does it stop?
When it stops reporting, it moves to Quiet and billing for it ends with that month. If it starts reporting again, it moves back. You don't have to do anything either way.
What's the £20 minimum for?
Your tenancy: a subdomain, your users, your data kept and backed up. It only matters below ten monitored batteries. Above that you're paying the per-battery rate and the minimum never applies.
Is there a contract?
No. Monthly, in arrears, by invoice. Stop connecting batteries and the bill goes to zero. Your passports and history stay either way.
How do I pay?
A monthly invoice with a payment link. Card and direct debit. Prices are in pounds sterling and exclude VAT.
Do you take money from battery manufacturers?
No. Not for listings, not for referrals, not for anything. The people paying us are the people who own the batteries, and that's the only way the proof means anything.
Start with one battery. The first one is free until it reports.
Request access, register a battery, print a label. Connect it when you're ready, and the meter starts then — not before.
